Care instructions
- Machine wash cold (30C)
- Line drying is preferred. Engineered with fast-drying technology.
- Iron at low temperature.
Velcro is designed to grip so after washing, the straps can sometimes curl or feel a little rough. To keep them flat, simply fasten the Velcro straps to themselves before machine washing (hook-to-loop), and straighten the straps while they’re still damp. Any curling can be easily reset by gently reshaping the straps and drying them flat. With regular use and a few washes, the straps will soften and settle into their intended shape.

We absolutely LOVE our Tazzy Tots mat! It is so great for both at home and on the go! We use ours as a playmat, picnic mat and a travel change mat.
With it being waterproof and machine washable, it makes it soooo incredible for busy mums like me! 🖤🤍

Absolutely love our Tazzy Tots mat! 🤍 It’s such a beautiful, practical addition to our everyday routine. It’s super easy to wipe clean, dries quickly and makes playtime so much easier — especially with a little one when mess is inevitable! The quality is gorgeous and I love that it’s both functional and looks beautiful in our home. Definitely recommend for other mums!

We’ve used our Tazzy Tot waterproof play mat for everything from messy play at home to park dates with the kids.
We’ve been keeping it in our car caddy and it’s honestly been so handy! perfect for laying the baby down at the park, setting up a little play area, or even for a quick nappy change in the boot when you’re out and about.
The fact it’s super pretty is just an added bonus ;)

Honestly, this mat has been a blessing! Just what you need for the 20 different things you need to do with your baby - changing mat, picnic mat, potty training etc etc . We recently went through a 20hr+ flight journey with our baby, and the comfort you feel in travelling with a high performance, reliable product is just priceless. It made an on-the-move blowout situation not at bad / difficult as it would've otherwise been ;) This tazzy tots mat has been one of my top 3 baby purchases of all time
Icing on the cake for me is just how pretty it is. We have one permanently on the changing station in the bedroom, and it really adds to the room! THANK YOU!
K
The perfect mat for every day use, this can take you from those early tummy time days all the way to toilet training and beyond! I reach for this mat multiple times a day since it arrived and it doesn’t disappoint!

As a new dad, the Midnight Tazzy Mat has been such a great buy. It’s super soft, easy to clean and honestly makes those endless diaper changes a lot easier. The quality is really good and it looks great too. We’ve been using it constantly since we got it. Would definitely recommend it to any new parent!

Got the Midnigbt for my 4 mo and it’s become our most-used thing. Tummy time, nappy changes, pram trips even Gymbaroo classes.
Survived a massive blowout last week 🤣, washed and the mat literally dried by lunch. Fabric is super soft and the houndstooth blends into our house + looks cute in the nursery. Will definitely grab a 2nd one.

I didn’t realise how much laundry one baby could create until we had one. This mat has honestly been a sanity saver.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Tazzy Mat made from?
The Tazzy Mat is made from 100% OEKO-TEX® Certfied Cotton. Both top and bottom layers are cotton. In the middle, it has a thin layer of TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) which is a waterproof backing to stop any liquid from soaking through.
How much liquid can the Tazzy Mat hold?
The Tazzy Mat can hold up to 1.5L of liquid. A toddler typically pees about 50-150 mL at one time. Newborns, even lesser.
So this gives sufficient coverage for leakages, blowouts, or while toilet training.
Can the Tazzy Mat be wiped clean?
You can wipe off any solids off the top. For the liquids, since they are abosrbent fabric mats, they're not wipeable like a plastic mat or foam mat. Liquid is meant to soak into them.
However, they are specially engineered with circular hex weave design to dry fast - so a machine wash and hang dry should get them up and running pretty quickly. Within hours.
Are they reversible?
Yes. Unlike other waterproof play and change mats, we use OEKO-TEX® cotton for both top and bottom layers. We wanted anything that touched our bubs to be free from nasties!
The top layer is houndstooth printed and the bottom layer is the same color in absolute. Waterproof core is the middle layer so they're waterproof either way.
Tip: some people (me!) like to use the back side for messy play!
How does the fast-drying work on Tazzy Mats? How long does it take?
This is what took us one year to get the fabric engineering right. Our mission was to achieve fast drying technology using natural materials like cotton, unlike other brands that use polyester and microfiber.
We engineered the circular hex weave design technology that gives our cotton mats the natural ability to wick moisture faster and dry faster while retaining it's hypoallergenic and waterproof abilities.
PS: you can spot the little circular hex weaves in the mat if you look closely.
What ages is the Tazzy Mat suitable for?
The Tazzy Mat is suitable for newborns right through until your child doesn't need it any more, usually 5-6 year olds when they are fully toilet trained.
How do I wash the Tazzy Mat?
The Tazzy Mat can be washed normally in a washing machine (cold recommended) and can be line-dried. The mat dries within hours if line-dried. The Mat can also go into the dryer on a low heat.
Can the Tazzy Mat grow mould due to trapped liquid?
Most mats in the market grow mould because they're stuffed with padding or sealed with plastic coatings that trap moisture inside. The Tazzy Mat has no padding or plastic coatings at all. The Tazzy Mat is just 2 breathable cotton layers with a thin TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) barrier sandwiched in the middle. There's nowhere for damp to hide.
To keep it mould-free, all you need to do is:
- Wash after accidents (don't leave it sitting wet for days)
- Make sure it's dry beofre folding or storing
